Just take a break,
Listen closely.
It’s never going to be okay.
Times are changing
And we are with them
So give into the movements
And ride the motions.

Cause it’s okay,
To accept the inevitable
It’s okay to try and let go.
Leave behind all that’s weighing
Push away that judgement
And live like you were meant to.

Times are changing
And we are with them
So take the time to stop and listen
It’s not going to be okay
But you can give into the movements
Just take the time,
And ride the motions.

Tonight I dream of angels. Leaving me their wings to go to lands unseen. Hairs made of sunlight, intertwined through skin with stars imbedded deep within. Hearing the nightly song, they sing the world to sleep. Gently gathering tears, as most lie now in defeat. Oh sweet innocence, so unknowing to the harsh realities. So they will help them see, the good inside each mortal body. Wrapping them in blankets of song and warmth. Every soul is home just for this night. As the angels begin to shed, their heavenly fathers Light.

Sing to me, dear man on the moon. I often wonder if you sing to me too. Lonely is something I know you feel. But, know you’re not alone, for I am here with you. Sitting here, in the dark summer night, watching the stars dance, being bathed in your light. Whispering now, my nightly song. Believing for once, the change will come before long. Dreams are caught in the darkness where you hide. How do I know if I’m on the right side? Just know I want to be by your side.

It starts with a single note. Blown through the amp straight into the soul. The trembling begins as the drums slowly rise to the occasion. The crowd closes their eyes as the lips reach the microphone. The guitar lets out a long perfected pull of sensation. Opening their eyes, the melting begins. Fist fly into the air as the melody progresses. Each individual lip singing, and in that moment in time, they are the rock star. They are the one on stage creating the blessed tune. They look down at the screaming crowd. The essence of the glory of music unravels before their very eyes. Sweat streams down their faces, hence, the face melt. So in sync with the marvelous show, not knowing what hit them, as the music begins to slow

Don’t take me down from here

I’ve risen up so high

I’ve let go of those fears

Left behind your lie

The road I took was long

Full of pain and sorrow

But all that’s ahead now

Is the dawning light of tomorrow

Those days they just consumed

Every part of me

That wasn’t tied to you.

You drained me from the world

My story left untold

You took me from the sun

left me frozen and alone

don’t take me down from here

I’ve risen up so high

I’ve let go of those fears

I’ve Left behind your lie

Because broken dreams

Are just memories

And a love in chains

only led to a life

Filled with misery

Drenched with more

feelings of bitter uncertainty

Those chains were so strong

But still I broke through

I took the leap and left

Every inch of you

So don’t take me down from here

I’ve risen up so high

I’ve let go of my fears

I’ve left behind your lie

The road I took was wrong

Full of pain and sorrow

But all I see ahead now

Is the dawning light of tomorrow

(A collab with http://woundedsoulsballad.tumblr.com/ … i don’t think either of us care whose words are whose, as we wrote this together.)

This is a story about a boy named Johnny,
Who lived outside the law.
He walked the town of Nashaw, Virgina
Lookin’ for a nightly brawl.
The townsfolk…
