Such a beautiful symphony
Such a beautiful long lost dream
Only you can bring to stay

Tones I never knew
Ones that couldn’t be true
Unless brought upon by you
You make my heart skip a beat
Every time your lips touch mine
Every time I see your eyes
You brought my heart to life
You make my heart shine
With the smile that you bring
With every simple thing
As our souls now intertwine

With the love you have for me
With every word you breathe
You’ve finally made me see
You make my life whole
Holding a heart other than my own
is something that I do with extreme care.
Always afraid of dropping it, crushing it.
Trying to treat it with love and tenderness,
keeping it warm, whole, always.
Sometimes it feels like I’m walking on
a wire, hovering above broken glass.
Holding on to that heart for dear life.
Knowing one wrong step, and it
will fall down and bleed out entirely.
Hope that it will keep me walking strong,
keeps me from dropping it.
Faith that my heart, in his hands,
is as safe as I keep his own.
