Wounded Souls Ballad

I caught a ray of sun shine once. I did not know what to do with such a thing. So I broke it into little pieces held safely in diamond jars. One I keep with me, close to my heart at all times. Even when life is at its darkest, it brings me light to guide my way. I planted one in the garden. And from it grew the most beautiful tree I’ve ever seen. When people go near it, it will set their troubled minds free. One I put into a bottle, with a note inside and threw it to the sea. “To the one who finds this, just know it was meant to be. And when the sea seems the most ruthless, take this light, and you will finally see”. The last is kept for a wandering soul. One whose lost their way. They think life would be better unlived, but they will live another day. The moment they seek, for something worth living, it is then the light will bring them to life. All will be set free, with a ray of sun light.
